Day 1 Arrive Lima
You will be met on arrival and driven to your fantastic boutique hotel in the colonial district of the city.

Day 2 Lima
Today you will be taken to a local produce market to taste and savor the incredible array of native Peruvian fruits and vegetables. Continue to a typical restaurant to learn the art of creating ceviche and other seafood dishes, accompanied by the emblematic national aperitif, pisco sour, before returning to your hotel.

Day 3 The Sacred Valley
Head back to the airport for the flight to Cusco. On arrival you will be met and driven to the town of Urubamba via the impressive ruins at Pisac, and also enjoy the freshly baked bread at a traditional bakery. You will arrive at your hotel, which is peacefully situated by the Urubamba River, mid-afternoon.

Day 4 The Sacred Valley
You will be collected after breakfast for an exploration around the fascinating and lesser-known sites of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. If you would prefer to be more active you can choose to cycle (with full back-up support) through the intricate Inca terracing to the salt pans at Moray; alternatively you can explore on foot.
Adventurous souls - and for those with no fear of heights - might like to spend the night in one of the unique 'Skylodges'. These transparent luxury capsules hang suspended from the side of the mountain, 600 metres above the valley floor offering magnificent views.

Day 5 Machu Picchu
After a leisurely breakfast you will be driven to the Inca fortress town of Ollantaytambo where you can walk along an old Inca Trail towards the town. Later you will be taken to the train station for the Vistadome train to the town at the base of Machu Picchu, Aguas Calientes. You will be escorted to your hotel.

Day 6 Cusco
An early start will allow you to have some time at the iconic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu with your private guide before the crowds arrive from the train. Afterwards you will have time to explore and photograph the ruins in your own time, and if you wish we can organise a permit to climb Huayna Picchu for a truly spectacular view over the site (but not for the faint hearted!). Return to the train for your journey back to Cusco, where you'll be met and driven to your hotel.

Day 7 Cusco
Your trip around the Cusco environs will be tailored to your particular interests but we will include a gourmet picnic either in a quiet city plaza or at Inca Ruins in the hills overlooking Cusco.

Day 8 Cusco
If you would like a day of adventure, then there is nothing more fun than a rafting trip on a beautiful section of the Urubamba River above Cusco. A full safety briefing and equipment is provided, and you will be accompanied by fully accredited guides. If you would prefer to stay on dry land then there are also wonderful horse riding trails to take at a gentle pace. Or you may prefer a day at leisure in Cusco to do as you please.

Day 9 Arequipa
You will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Arequipa. The region has a wonderful climate and it is a beautiful city in which to explore and while away the hours in the impressive central plaza. You will have an orientation walk to include the charming Santa Catalina Convent, hidden from the world until 1970. The convent was originally a secret walled village inside the city, an isolated home for 450 nuns and their female servants.

Day 10 Arequipa
Today is free from organised tours so that you can explore this beautiful city in your own time.

Day 11 Colca Canyon
You will be collected after breakfast for the spectacular journey through agricultural terracing and mountain passes to Colca Canyon - one of the World's deepest canyons and home to condors gliding effortlessly overhead in the thermals created by the gorge. Check-in to peaceful Colca, and relax in the private hot springs.

Day 12 Colca Canyon
Today, a private guide and vehicle will make it easy to explore the fascinating local villages, pre Inca ruins, and the Cruz del Condor, which provides a wonderful vantage point for looking out over the valley and spotting huge condors. There will also be time, if you wish, to ride, bike, hike and fish or enjoy the on-site spa and hot springs.

Day 13 Arequipa
Return to the White City of Arequipa (as it is known by locals), where you can spend your last evening at one of the city's excellent restaurants, or shopping for Alpaca clothing in the boutiques.

Day 14 Overnight flight
This morning you will be collected and driven to the airport for your flight to Lima and onward flight home.
