With just six tented suites, each one carefully angled to maximise the views of the copper-coloured mountains and rolling desert dunes, Bedu Camp is one of the top places to stay in Wadi Rum. Each has a private deck for watching the sun go down, while all are simply yet comfortably furnished with wooden floors, solar-powered electricity and en suite modern bathrooms with walk-in showers and copper sinks.
Breakfast is served up on a sandstone hill behind the camp, while Bedouin-style evening meals take place either in a large central tent or alfresco under a canopy of stars. The lunar-like landscape of Wadi Rum lends itself to desert adventure; spends days trekking around the myriad of canyons and dunes, ride a camel along the sands, visit local Bedouin communities or arrange a sunset hot air balloon ride to get a sense of perspective over this fascinating, otherworldly landscape.
