There is also time to float in the Dead Sea, to sample some of the Middle East's most delicious street food and to explore Mount Nebo, the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. Day 1 Arrival Into Jordan
Land in Amman, the capital of Jordan. You are met air-side before being transferred directly to the Dead Sea, with a journey time of around one hour. On arrival check-in and relax after your journey.

Day 2 The Dead Sea and 'Rose City' of Petra
After breakfast, enjoy the incredible feeling of buoyancy whilst floating in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea. Then set off with your guide and driver on the journey south to Petra, along the King’s Highway. Stop at nearby Mt Nebo, the supposed burial site of Moses, which overlooks the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, and then continue on to Madaba, known as the city of mosaics, where you will find the oldest map of the Holy Land on the floor of St George’s Church. Arrive into Petra in the evening.

Day 3 Petra & Amman
Spend the morning exploring Petra with its honeycomb of hand-hewn temples, tombs and caves that were carved from the sandstone cliffs, around 2,000 years ago. Approach the city through the narrow rock defile known as the Siq, which suddenly opens out onto the beautiful and elaborate temple known as the Treasury. Learn about the sophisticated water-system that is said to have supplied water to some 30,000 inhabitants, the elegant Silk Tomb with splashes of ochre, blue and red and see the floors of a Byzantine-era church that are paved with mosaics.
After lunch, head back to Amman and in the evening, meet your guide and stroll through the fresh produce souqs, where traders display a brilliant array of local produce from bright pink radishes to huge bags of juicy dates and perfectly formed and pungently fragrant rose buds. In Rainbow Street, a place that is pulsating with cafés and bars, stalls and sellers, your guide will take you to a variety of establishments particularly favoured by Amman's local residents to try the best street food that the capital has to offer, including delicious falafel, shawarma and herbal teas.
