The Canvas Club private camps are tiny specks of comfort amongst the shifting sands of the Omani desert. A genuine luxury camping experience which leaves no trace of its presence when it moves on, your camp will consist of a comfortable bell tent with plush carpet, inviting bed with premium sprung mattress and a private bathroom tent with hot water shower under the desert sky. A typical majlis tent provides the most atmospheric of settings for dining by candlelight. Operating on an entirely private basis, your camp will be the only one visible in these vast expanses of desert. After dinner prepared by your private chef, huddle around the campfire and gaze up at the billions of stars that come out each night in this hidden corner of the desert, devoid of light pollution. Though alcohol is not provided at the camp, guests are welcome to bring along their favourite tipple and we will ensure the correct mixers are on hand for your evening cocktail. As you retire for the night the complete absence of noise is palpable, capturing the complete tranquillity of life in the desert.

Feeling fully refreshed, a wealth of desert adventures await the following day. A private guide is on hand to curate a programme of activities entirely personalised to suit your interests - these could include dune bashing, visiting a wadi for a refreshing swim or crossing the desert to visit a remote Bedouin village. As another day draws to a close, the friendly and approachable team at the camp are more than happy to share stories about life in the desert, in between preparing another delicious meal drawing from recipes passed down through generations.
