OMAN & THE MALDIVES

Fly to Muscat then transfer by 4WD to a sleek hotel high up in the rugged Hajar Mountains where the whole family can explore the great outdoors, enjoy an abundance of activities, remarkable vistas and dine on delicious Omani cuisine. The Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort sits on the edge of the canyon, an area famous for its damask roses. Close to a very modern Omani village, there are visits to abandoned villages, numerous hiking trails and the opportunity to visit the historic city of Nizwa.

After three nights, fly to Male then travel by speedboat to Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort. The adventure playground sits on a talcum-powder-white beach, with over-water villas and others that are nestled into stunning natural surroundings with thatched roofs and dark woods. Spend five nights in a family-friendly resort relaxing and enjoying surf, tennis, diving, beach games and surfing before flying home on Oman Air.

Day 1 Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar

Arrive into Muscat and transfer by road by 4WD into the Hajar Mountains, with a journey time of around 2 hours. On arrival, check-in to your room with a magnificent view and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 - 3 Two Days At Leisure

Enjoy two days at leisure free from the interruptions and distractions of modern life. Spend your time hiking through the valleys where the local delicacy of rose water is made and where turbaned old men drink coffee the way that they have done for hundreds of years. Explore local villages, where you will be welcomed by local villagers and watch the ladies cultivate the rose bushes, before you return to your cliff-top retreat for a relaxing spa treatment and some delicious Omani cuisine.

Day 4 Overnight Flight To Maldives

Bid your farewell to the Hajar Mountains and travel back by road to Muscat Airport where you will check-in for your flight to Male, which is an overnight flight.

Day 5 Anantara Dhigu

On arrival into Male, you will be transferred to the jetty for a 35-minute speedboat ride to the spectacular resort and spa of Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax.

Day 6 - 9 Anantara Dhigu

Anantara Dhigu is a family-friendly resort that shares the lagoon with its two sister properties, Veli and Naladhu, which gives guests a myriad of choices when it comes to activities and dining. The resort offers an excellent house reef, daily yoga, tennis and, of course, the obligatory dive centre and, if you are so inclined, you can grab a surf board and enjoy one of the activities that the Maldives is renowned for. In the evening, dine in one of the four restaurants on the island, or take a quick pontoon ride across the lagoon for one of the best Thai meals at Baan Huraa.

Day 10 Fly Home

At the appropriate time, travel by speedboat back to Male and check-in for your flight home.
