NB: Winterlake Lodge will be closed until 2026 due to extensive renovations.
Nestled amongst formidable glaciers, sweeping tree canopies and tranquil lakes, Winterlake Lodge is truly in the heart of Alaska’s diverse and awesome landscape. Only accessible by air (seaplane in summer and ski plane in winter) your adventures start before you even arrive. When you make landfall, you will find an intimate and exclusive escape with just five handcrafted log cabins laid out around the main lodge building. Each one is unique - built from native spruce and equipped with all the home comforts you need for a wilderness stay.
The Fireweed Cabin sleeps five, making it an ideal choice for families, while couples can choose from options like the Iditarod Cabin with its expansive picture windows or the Red Lake Trail Cabin set at the Lodge's western side for the most stunning sunsets. The small number of cabins gives a unique sense of seclusion, allowing you to enjoy Alaska's wide-open spaces free from the intrusions of the modern world. Not that a stay at Winterlake is a solitary experience.
