CABINS ON SYLVIA EARLE
The ship’s 71 staterooms and suites accommodate up to 132 guests at a time - making the Sylvia Earle one of the more intimate vessels operating in Antarctica - and are all spacious and inviting. Most are equipped with private balconies for soaking up the views, while suites boast their own welcoming living areas – perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the White Continent. Each is tastefully adorned with polar-themed photography, allowing you to embrace the magic of the region even while you unwind.
DINING
With a variety of courses and menu options available every day, dining onboard Sylvia Earle is always something to look forward to. Recharge after wildlife spotting with an afternoon tea in the open dining area, or make use of the tea, coffee and snacks which are available 24 hours a day. Head to the bar and lounge areas in the evening for well-deserved cocktails as you gaze out at the clear and starry night sky.
AMENITIES
There is always plenty going on around the ship to keep guests occupied, even during longer days at sea. The inviting jacuzzis on the sun deck are ideal for blissfully unwinding amidst vistas of the frozen landscape, while the sauna is always a tempting option for those seeking to warm up after time out in the wilds. To gain a deeper understanding of natural surroundings - as well as the spirit of intrepid explorers - delve into Antarctica’s captivating history and biology during a talk at the lecture theatre. Alternatively, the naturalists and expedition team in the science centre happily welcome guests to learn more about the fascinating research that goes on in the region.
WHY WE LIKE IT
The Sylvia Earle offers a modern, refreshing and adventurous experience of Antarctica. Adventures both on the ground and onboard the ship always feel intimate and personal, yet service is always delivered with a relaxed approach. Activities such as polar snorkelling are seldom offered by expedition operators, offering unique ways to discover the region. Additionally, the pioneering X-Bow design allows for smoother journeys to the Antarctic, enhancing onboard comfort for guests and reducing ship's impact on the surrounding environment.
