This is a great month for ‘mid’ haul adventures in the Middle East and North Africa, where temperatures have now dropped to a bearable level and you can find the exotic with relative ease. Alternatively, go all the way ‘down under’ for early summer sun and outdoor adventure.
With good air connections, you will still find blue skies and sunshine in Morocco. Combine exploring the bustling souks of Marrakech with riding camels and quad bikes in the Agafay Desert for a thrilling family adventure. Alternatively travel à deux and enjoy a long weekend of blissful spa therapies and excellent dining at The Oberoi Marrakech, a triumph of architecture set in 28 acres of peaceful olive groves. Further afield but still relatively close by lies Oman with its family-friendly hotels, desert lodges and camps. Take a 4x4 journey into its beautiful interior to explore wadis (valleys) and mountains, the fortress and souk at Nizwa and the superb fort at Jabrin.
