With the warmest of welcomes from the local people and an unspoiled natural beauty that feels like a secret waiting to be shared, the Philippines promises a Southeast Asian adventure like no other. Our expert team are on hand to make the best recommendations for your luxury holiday to the Philippines and guide you through all the practicalities at every step of the way.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT THE PHILIPPINES
The climate in the Philippines is predominantly tropical, characterised by warm, humid conditions year-round. Though there are regional variations, as a general rule the period between December and March is the cooler, drier season. Between March and May the arrival of the summer monsoon sees an increase in temperatures and rainfall. This is usually followed by the typhoon season, which continues through to the end of October.

MEDICATIONS & VACCINATIONS FOR THE PHILIPPINES
If you are arriving in the Philippines from a country with a risk of yellow fever, a vaccination certificate is mandatory for entering the country.
For other vaccinations we always recommend that you see your doctor or a travel clinic before travelling, to make sure that you have taken all the necessary health precautions. You might also like to look at the Fit for Travel website which is a good source of travel health information.
TIPPING IN THE PHILIPPINES
Tipping is welcomed in the Philippines if you are satisfied with the service you have received. We recommend tipping guides $10 (US) per couple for a half day tour, $20 per couple for a full day tour. Hotel porters should be tipped $1-2 per item. Tips are not expected by taxi drivers, but you may wish to round up the fare or leave a couple of dollars for good service. In restaurants – a tip of 10% is recommended if a service charge has not already been added. If a service charge has been added, you may still wish to leave an additional tip of up to 5% on top of this for particularly good service, but we always recommend passing this directly to your server.
GET CONNECTED
The electricity supply in the Philippines is 220 volts AC, 60Hz. You may encounter both two flat pin plug sockets (type A & B) as well as two round pin sockets (category C). We therefore recommend packing an international travel adapter.
